Local artist Drie Chapek is currently showing new work at the Anthropologie downtown. The show lasts through the end of November.
Chapek's work entices the viewer with a complicated harmony of color, shape, and texture. She calls upon intuitive gestures and natural images to convey the beauty in natural life cycles. Ambiguities of space and scale and the relationship between the micro and the macro are important aspects of her work.
